Unlike the coral limestone islands of the Keys (formed from coral reefs exposed when the waters receded during the Pleistocene Epoch (ice ages) and were solidified into limestone), sandy beaches thrive in the shallows accessible only by boat. Cruise aboard our smooth-riding catamaran to Picnic Island on the Atlantic side or Content Key on the Gulf side. At either sandbar, wade in crystal-clear waters to find conchs, starfish, and corals (please leave them undisturbed).
